31 Positive Affirmations for Kids
Affirmations are a powerful tool to use with your kids. No matter the age, you can start now. My son and I do affirmations every morning before he gets out of the car. We actually started doing them when he was only 4. When he was younger, he really enjoyed saying them. He’s nine now but we still repeat them every morning and sometimes throughout the day. Our daughter is non-verbal right now and only says a few words but that doesn’t stop me from quoting a few of them with her. I believe and know a few of these positive affirmations have helped him at school. We all know school sometimes can be a rough place to maneuver and I know a few of these words he repeats every morning helps. I do keep it light, in the morning just because I don’t want him to forget.
Every morning before he gets out of the car, I say, ” I AM” and he says, ” I am cool, I am smart, I am of integrity, and I am loved! It’s not long but it covers the basics and I just pray about all the other things.
You can choose how you want to introduce positive affirmations to your child. I would definitely say make sure you think of your child’s personality when you are writing them out. I added the ” I am cool” affirmation for my son because I know he loves feeling like he is cool and likes to be around anyone he thinks is cool as well. I wanted him to know that if no one ever voices at his school that he is cool that he knows deep down in his heart that he is cool. Affirmations to me speak the good over your life and your kid’s life before people come and speak whatever they want to in that moment. You can add affirmations in their day to day in ways that they are more open to.
Before you grab your pen and paper, consider asking yourself
- What does my kid need to work on?
- What would I like them to work on?
- What have they been consistently talking about?
- What positive affirmations can they benefit most from?
Below, I share 31 positive affirmations for kids that you all can repeat daily.
